Kristen Burgess, MS, APRN, CNP-A, is an Adult Nurse Practitioner at Medical Home Primary Care Center, where she has been providing primary care services since 2011. She treats patients ages 12 and older, offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.

Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005 and went on to complete her Master of Science in 2007, with an interdisciplinary specialization in aging—highlighting her commitment to understanding the complex health needs of older adults. Her clinical approach emphasizes patient education, preventive care, and building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients.

Kristen started her practice as a Nurse Practitioner with Courtney Bonner in Cambridge in 2007. When she joined the Medical Home team in April 2011, many patients who had established care with her at her previous practice chose to continue following her.

Her passion for medicine began early in life, influenced by a strong family legacy in healthcare—her great-grandfather and grandfather were both physicians, and her mother is a registered nurse. That deep-rooted dedication to the field continues to shape her approach to patient care today.

A lifelong resident of Cambridge, Kristen was born and raised there and still calls it home today. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending quality time with her son, Ryder, who is nearly five years old, along with her bonus children. Two of them—Langston (18) and Gunner (16)—live at home with her. She especially loves summertime and being outdoors with her family. Kristen is also a proud dog mom to two lovable basset hounds, Daisy and Lexi.
