This face may look familiar to you as she’s normally the first person you see when you walk into Medical Home Primary Care Center. Tashia Martin has been at MHPCC for 8 years now. She works the front window as a Medical Assistant. She received her Medical Assisting degree from Zane State College in 2005. Since then, she has furthered her education by receiving both a Bachelors and a Master’s degree from Ohio University in Organizational Communications.

As front office staff Tashia focuses on administrative duties that ensure the smooth running of the practice, such as scheduling, coordinating appointments, ensuring patient information is accurate, directing patients to the appropriate staff or departments, and processing payments. She works closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure efficient operations and optimal patient care.

When Tashia isn’t at MHPCC she can be found teaching communication courses as an Adjunct Professor at a few of the local community colleges. Her communications background plays a vital role in her interactions with patients, answering inquiries, and coordinating with medical staff here at MHPCC.

Tashia has one daughter, Taleigha who she loves to travel with. They are always looking for her their next tropical destination.
